Important Information for VISA Application

1. To secure your VISA approval, please avoid VISA on arrival application and to avoid unexpected delay, considering first to apply for a Thai VISA in your own country is highly recommended. The participants of IESO 2018 who wish to apply for a VISA to Thailand are suggested to proceed the application at least 30 days prior to the arrival date.

3. Participants those who come from the following countries need to apply for a Thai VISA within your native countries only.

North Korea

South Asia

Sri Lanka

General Visa Information

Thai visa rules differ for different nationalities. Check out the appropriate visa information on the website of the Thai embassy or consulate in your jurisdiction: http://www.thaiembassy.org/main.

Nationals of certain countries do not require a visa if they meet visa exemption requirements as follows:

1. they are nationals of countries which are exempted from visa requirements when entering Thailand for tourism purposes. Such nationals will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 30 days. 2. they are nationals of countries which hold bilateral agreements with Thailand on the exemption of visa requirements. For more information, please see Summary of Countries and Territories entitled for Visa Exemption and Visa on Arrival to Thailand.

The details of the process and required documents for Visa on Arrival application for eligible countries at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport are available on http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/907-visa-on-arrival.

The same procedure also applies to arrivals to Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport as the first port of entry to Thailand.

However, we discourage you to obtain Visa on Arrival, if not necessary, to avoid any unexpected problems.

Please be advised that participants travelling from the following countries are required to show an official document of Yellow Fever vaccination to the immigration officer when you enter Thailand: Angola, Argentina, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gabonese, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Guyana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somali, Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Venezuela.
